Life certainly took a turn for the hectic. I've been sick and then sick again, went to a concert, got a spot on the yearbook staff and completely failed to do anything in relation to photography.

There's a good possibility that I'm taking a little run up to New York this four day weekend, though, so that will certainly get things going. And the fact that I have three midterm papers due directly afterwards has not impeded my plans because I am very stupid.

Anyway, in early April I went out with my friends to get pizza and ice cream.

BUT FIRST: A quick roommate story. We have bunked our beds for more space and I have the top one. I also get the top of her bookshelf for my alarm clock, books, etc. Yesterday afternoon I prepared to go run errands and realized I had left my alarm light on bright so I climbed up to turn it off and the jumped right back down. She, from her position on her bed started laughing about me "going in circles". Apparently nothing I do ever has reason behind it in her world.

We met up in the parking lot (that's Clara, Megan, Emma, April and not yet arrived is Kathryn).

Kathryn was up at the top of that hill and we had to wait for her. By the way, I visited Baldwin weekend before last and it was such a mind trip to see not only the people and places that I was so familiar with, but people I don't know also familiar with them. We went into my old dorm which, although I was miserable there I do consider a sort of home, and saw all the freshman who ALSO call it home- it was just bizarre. I am still very conflicted about how I feel but I think that mostly I'm nostalgic for everything about last year that I'll never have again.

Stop being so picturesque and making me want to go back. Hmph!

It's actually safe to do this in Staunton because there are almost no cars.

Beverly Street is the most interesting street within walking distance, because it has the movie theater and the three college affordable restaurants.

At Shenandoah Pizza we were too loud as usual.

Also some people only just managed to pay for their meal.

Which was delicious, btw.

The sky was amazing in between pizza and ice cream.

To the Split Banana one of my favorite places everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

We were more excited than that.

That's a little bit better.

And then it was all gone.

And while we were walking back, these two guys who looked like Ricky Martin but with more leather passed us and we could smell their cologne for the rest of the half hour walk back. Seriously.

The sky was beautiful.

And then it stormed.

Seriously, your roommate sounds more awesome everytime I hear about her =\

Staunton looks so beautiful! What state is it in? New York? Maryland? Sorry, my US geography skills are not that great (yet!).

The sky looks amazing in that one picture indeed.

& I'm jealous of your being able to elope to NY 8)

I am loving it but it sucks knowing that I have to go back. I like life right now but I don't want to leavvvvvve NY.

Lucky you ;)

Oh really, Virginia? I had no idea! For some reason I convinced myself that you lived somewhere in New England...maybe because you make trips to Washington and New York every now and then?
One of my classmates lived in Virginia from when she was 5 'till she was 8, or so.

I feel your pain. Even though I've only been there once =).

Hahahahaha to be true with you, I've spent so much time in my life that I might half live there. And that's so strange!

It's just one of those places.
